The Atlantic Chapter's Farm & Food Committee addresses environmental topics across the state. We work to get the state legislature to pass environmentally-responsible policy, provide resources and information to the groups and activists, and inform the public about the impact agricultural industrialization is having on our food supply and environment.
We work to address the following topics, among others: Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs), genetic engineering and biotechnology, sustainable food consumption, farm and consumer relations, and much more.

Have you heard of the Meatrix yet? Watch this great new flash movie on factory farming at: http://www.themeatrix.com/
The Meatrix is a two-minute flash animation that spoofs the popular Matrix movies. But instead of Keanu Reaves, the Meatrix stars a young pig, Leo, who lives on a pleasant family farm ... he thinks. Leo is approached by a wise and mysterious cow, Moopheus, who shows Leo the truth about modern farming -- the truth about the Meatrix!
