Join us as we explore the trail at Chicago Bog Unique Natural Area. Chicago Bog is a kettle bog, a DEC Class II wetland, and one of the few intact bogs in the Finger Lakes Region. We'll park and meet at the Trailhead: 3220 Gracie Road, Cortland.

Neil Seldman is co-founder and president of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. He is senior staff for ILSR's Waste to Wealth Initiative, which has been at the forefront of the push to move from burn and bury policies to recycling and economic development. Seldman specializes in helping cities recover more materials from the waste stream and add value locally through processing and manufacturing. Join us for this unique opportunity to hear from this national figure, who will discuss the challenges posed by our incinerator and municipal waste stream, as well as the job opportunities linked to waste recycling.
