Towns participating in the collection of electronic waste
Nassau County

2008 Schedule

Town of Hempstead

For 2008, programs are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. as follows:
Saturday, March 15, 2008, Town Parking Field, Division Avenue off Hempstead Tpke. Levittown
Sunday, October 5, 2008, Baldwin Park, 3232 South Grand Avenue, Baldwin. The town's e-cycling program is open to Town of Hempstead residents only. Call the Sanitation Department at (516) 378-2200 for further details.

Town of North Hempstead
North Hempstead residents can bring e-waste items to the Resident Drop Off at 999 West Shore Road in Port Washington on:
Sundays between 7:30 am and 3:30pm. The facility is open to non-commercial vehicles, and drivers are asked to present a matching license and registration with a North Hempstead address. Items accepted include: Cellular phones, Computers, etc.

Town of Oyster Bay
ELECTRONIC WASTE COLLECTION DAYS/STOP DAYS
HOURS 9 A.M. - 4 P.M. ALL LOCATIONS will be collecting e-waste
SYOSSET - Sunday, May 18, T.O.B. Dept. of Public Works Garage
150 Miller Place.
MASSAPEQUA - Saturday, June 14,Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Rd.
SEA CLIFF - Saturday, July 12, Sea Cliff Dept. of Public Works

HICKSVILLE - Saturday, Aug. 16,Hicksville Fire Department, West John Street
OLD BETHPAGE - Saturday, Sept. 13,Old Bethpage Solid Waste Disposal

MASSAPEQUA - Saturday, Oct. 18,Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Rd.
SYOSSET - Sunday, Nov. 16, T.O.B. Dept. of Public Works Garage, 150 Miller Place

SUFFOLK COUNTY

TOWN OF BABYLON
Drop off any e-waste weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The residential recycling Center is located on 57 Field Street, off Edison Avenue, in West Babylon.

TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN:
Collects all kinds of e-waste at Brookhaven Town Landfill on Horseblock Road in Yaphank. For further information call (631) 451-6950
Drop off on Saturday’s 8am- 12 noon
Weekdays: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Town of East Hampton
Accepts your e-waste at both their Recycling Station in East Hampton and
Their Montauk Transfer Station at a cost of $5. a unit.
They can be brought during the scheduled STOP Days.

TOWN OF HUNTINGTON

Accepts e-waste at their Recycling Center located at 641 New York Ave., Huntington from Tuesday to Saturday 8 am –4 pm for information call 427-6377

TOWN OF ISLIP

Will be accepting electronic waste on their STOP Days
SATURDAY, April 12, 2008, and Saturday, September 13, 2008,
9:00 A.M. -- 2:00 P.M.
Also Monday-Friday 7 am- 3 pm
Town of Islip Multi-Purpose Recycling Facility
1155 Lincoln Avenue, Holbrook

TOWN OF RIVERHEAD

Will be accepting electronic waste on their STOP DAY at their Town Landfill, Young’s Ave, Calverton (across from the Animal Shelter)
Saturday, May 31st between 8 am- 3 pm. For info. 727-3200 ext. 391

TOWN OF SHELTER ISLAND

Is collecting computers, cell phones, etc. 7 days a week at their
Recycling and Transfer Station, located at 34 North Menantic Road, Shelter Island (near the "Haz-Mat" building) 7:30 am – 5:30 pm

TOWN OF SMITHTOWN

The town’s Municipal Services Facility located at 85 Old Northport Road,
Kings Park (east of Old Commack Road) will accept your electronic waste as well as fluorescent bulbs: Tues--Saturday : Between the hours of 7 am-11: 45 am & 1:00 pm-3:30 pm. For more information call 269-6600

TOWN OF SOUTHAMPTON

Will be incorporating electronic waste collection with their STOP Days.
For each location the hours are from 9am- 2 pm for info. Call 283-5210
The days and locations are as follows:
April 26th---North Sea Recycling, 1370 Major’s Path, Southampton
June 28th--- Westhampton Transfer Station, 66 Old County Road,
August 23—Sag Harbor Transfer Station, Bridgehampton Turnpike
October 25—Hampton Bays Transfer Station, Jackson Ave, Hampton Bays.

TOWN OF SOUTHOLD

Will be collecting e-waste on Saturdays---May 3, Sept. 6, Nov. 15
At the Cutchogue Transfer Station, Cutchogue between the hours of
9 am-3 pm
They take an extensive amount of e-waste products.
